Taylor rushed 21 times for 116 yards and a touchdown and secured six of eight targets for 10 yards in the Colts’ 23-17 win over the Jaguars on Sunday.
Early on, Taylor appeared to be on his way to another prolific day against a Jaguars squad he gained 275 yards against in two games last season. Taylor was featured heavily during a game-opening 10-play, 63-yard drive that culminated in a Michael Badgley field goal, and he did ultimately top 20 carries for the first time all season. However, the Jaguars defense was able to tighten up its work against the run to an extent as the game went on, yet not enough to prevent Taylor from recording his fifth 100-yard effort of the season, all which have come in the last seven contests. Taylor’s quest to eclipse the century mark for the third straight time is likely to be an uphill battle in a Week 11 road matchup against the Bills.
